Carlo Longanesi
Carlo Longanesi was born in Ravenna on 11.5.1961 and graduated with full marks in law at the University of Ferrara in 1987. He then lived in London where he was a trainee at Charles Taylor Ltd., Steamship Mutual P&I, and Middleton Potts. Subsequently he was employed for various years in London at Holman Fenwick & Willan where he dealt in particular with arbitrations, maritime, insurance, and commercial disputes. In the meantime he became a lawyer in Italy in 1992, and a member of Ravenna Bar. Since 2007 he is also a lawyer admitted before the Court of Cassation.
Carl Longanesi has been working since 1997 at Law Office Ridolfi Ghigi Longanesi, of which he is a partner. He is particularly focused on transportation of goods by sea, purchase and sale contracts, and on international law. In this respect he is principally involved in arrests of ships and attachments of cargoes, international arbitrations such as GAFTA, FOSFA, LMAA, and ICC, acknowledgments of foreign awards and judgments in Italy, purchase of ships, maritime, insurance, and international commercial disputes. He provides assistance all over Italy and abroad to his clients.
